The burglar ran away when the victim screamed for help. He, the victim, later realised that his TV set and a camera were stolen.
It also emerged that the thief forced opened the sliding door to enter the building.
* In another case, on Saturday, November 26, thieves forced their way into a house in Boksburg South and stole valuable goods and an undisclosed amount of money.
* Thieves also broke into a Parkrand home and ransacked the place while the victim was asleep in the same house.
The complainant told the police that he went to bed at about 10.15pm on November 25 and everything was in order.
But when he woke up the following morning, his personal belongings were gone and he noticed that the thief forced opened the door to enter the house.
* Meanwhile scrap metal thieves targeted the NG Church on Voortrekker Street, in Boksburg on November 26.
They reportedly broke the door to enter the property and stole a water tap made of copper.
It is believe that the thieves sell stolen taps to various scrap metal dealers in town. -@FanieFLK
