ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the man, believed to be in his 20s, lying in the road.
“He was found about 45 metres away from where he was believed to have been knocked,” said ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing Harduth.
Bodasing Harduth said that upon assessment of the patient, it was found that he was severely injured.
“Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead.”
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene to investigate further.
