Incredible 60 years of love for Bardene couple
Bob (82) and Mavis (79) Howlett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 10.
The Bardene couple were married on October 10, 1956, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, in the UK, and moved to South Africa in 1966.
Their marriage has always been based on honesty, respect and the incredible love they have for each other.
They have both always shared the love and compassion for their dogs and, for this reason, they have never wanted to move into a retirement home where their pets couldn’t fill their daily lives with so much joy and laughter.
They thank Pug Rescue SA for allowing them to adopt Tessa the pug and Cuddles the Pekingese and, together with Rigby the golden retriever, their days are never boring.
They have lived in Bardene for over 40 years and their children, Lisa and husband Paul Fawkes, and son Kevin and wife Silvia live close by.
Bob worked for Atlas Aircraft until he retired.
