Namibian delegation seeks to strengthen business ties

A diplomatic delegation from Namibia, accompanied by a smaller delegation from Zimbabwe, were the recent guest of honour during the Ekurhuleni Captains of Industry Forum's business breakfast held at the Mannah Executive Guest Lodge.

The purpose of the delegation, led by His Excellency Veiccoh Nghiwete, High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia, was to forge closer business relations between Namibia and South Africa..

Nghiwete during the breakfast meeting spoke on creating awareness on the High Commission’s services particularly the Commercial Office.

He also advised members of the forum on investor/work permit facilitation to ensure smooth business dealings with Namibia, and updated members on the current trade relations between Namibia and South Africa and overall trade between Namibia and the rest of the world.

He also shared information on the Invest in Namibia Conference (held from November 8 to 9) in Windhoek, while he updated members on his country’s economic growth and outlined specific employment opportunities with Namibian companies.

The launch event is hosted in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry of South Africa, and the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), will be held on Thursday, October 6 at Emperors Palace.
