Five injured in Jet Park head-on collision
Five people were injured, two seriously, after two trucks collided head-on at the intersection of Jet Park and Main roads in Jet Park, earlier today.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the trucks lying in the middle of the road.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said both trucks had sustained a large amount of damage and one was found lying on its side.
“On inspection, paramedics found a man lying trapped inside the overturned truck. Another man was found lying on top of the same truck. Both of these men were in a serious condition. Three other men were found walking around on the scene with minor injuries,” said Meiring.
He said rescue services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the man from the truck in a 30-minute operation.
Once freed, said Meiring, paramedics treated all the patients and provided both seriously injured patients with advanced life support treatment.
They were then transported by ambulance to both the Tembisa and Sunshine hospitals for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
