Three thugs rob supermarket in Parkdene

Below are some of the serious crimes reported to the Boksburg SAPS during the period between August 5 and 7.

Business robbery

Three armed men robbed the supermarket on the corner of Waterson Road and Lancaster Street, Parkdene on August 5.

According to the Boksburg SAPS, the men walked into the supermarket at about 7.30pm, a few minutes before close of business.

They threatened the shop owner and his wife at gunpoint and stole a large amount of cash from the tills, before they ran out of the store.

In the hold-up, the thugs also stole the shop owner’s iPhone worth about R12 00.

Boksburg detectives are investigation a case of business robbery.

Anyone who has any information about the robbery is urged to come forward.Burglary

On August 6, thieves entered a residential property at Parkrand Gardens and stole goods worth thousands of rand.
The stolen items included jewellery and a large sum of money.
