This is after a Warrant Officer based in Germiston Organised Crime Unit allegedly shot and killed his 42-year-old estranged wife at her sister’s house in Vosloorus.
This is according to Robbie Raburabu, Ipid’s Acting National spokesperson.
“It is alleged that on Saturday, August 6 at about 5.50pm, the deceased went outside to her car when she suddenly saw her husband,” said Raburabu.
“She apparently tried to turn back and close the door behind her but he then allegedly shot at her.
“She apparently screamed and tried to run into the dining room but she fell, where she was shot about 14 times.
“She died instantly.”
According to Raburabu, the officer then fled the scene using a state vehicle and he has not been seen since. He is still at large.
“It is alleged that the pair has been on separation for about two months and were in the process of a divorce.
Investigations continues.
