Call to support Living Waters for Mandela Day
Mandela Day is fast approaching and Living Waters Church is urging locals to join hands in lightening up the lives of the underprivileged.
The church is preparing for a Nelson Mandela Day Serving Saturday on July 16 and is looking for donations to benefit different charities.
The following items are requested:
*Beanies, gloves and scarves
*Blankets
*Non-perishable items – assorted tin food, soup, oats, coffee, tea, sugar and many more.
*Nappies and socks – up to two years of age
*Clean second-hand children clothes ( Age to to 17, boys and girls)
*Clean second-hand clothes for adult males and females
*Any toys for children
*Second-hand books for children and adults
*Stationery – glue sticks blue pens, HB pencil, erasers, Wax crayons, colouring pens and fabric pencil bags
*Small household kitchen items
Several other activities are lined up for the day, including a Hospice visit, maintenance at Boksburg police station, visiting children’s homes, hospital visits, retirement homes visits, repairing of books at Boksburg Library, cleaning up of rubbish in the Boksburg area and blood donation.
