Robbery victim comes face-to-face with his attacker in holding cell
An illegal shebeen operator reportedly got the shock of his life when he came face-to-face with the man who allegedly almost took his life during an armed business robbery.
This came about when the Angelo informal settlement shebeen operator was recently arrested for dealing in liquor without a valid licence – and was made to share a detention cell with his attacker.
When the shebeen operator entered the cell, he realised that his cellmate was the Lesotho national, who was arrested on June 15, for the brutal robberies and murders in the violent crime-plagued Angelo informal settlement.

The detainee reportedly got into a sweat about sharing the cell with his attacker, immediately recounted the robbery ordeal to the police and asked to be separated from the alleged ”killer” who, he said, scared him to death.
The detained shebeen owner was then taken to another cell and he opened a case of robbery against his attacker.
According to the complainant, this man, along with about six others, recently forced their way into his property, shot him in the leg and helped themselves to his belongings, including money, clothing and a cellphone. -@FanieFLK
