The arrest was made after officers spotted a suspicious silver BMW travelling along Kingfisher and Barry Marais roads, in Van Dyk Park, on June 10.
“The vehicle with three occupants was cornered and stopped. On searching the car and inquiring on radio control, it was found that the car was stolen in Welkom, last year.
“The trio was arrested and detained on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle,” said Dawn Park Police station spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula.
They are expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrates Court soon.
