Burglars cut hole through Liquor City wall, empty safes

Unidentified burglars cut a hole through the wall to gain entrance into Liquor City, on the corner of Eleventh Avenue and Charl Cilliers Street, in the night of April 27.

Boksburg North police spokesperson Lieut Juanita Coetzer said the burglars forced open two safes inside the store.

They stole cigarettes, liquor and an undisclosed amount of money.

Coetzer said the owner was informed by security at around 6.22am, on April 28.

A case of business burglary and theft was registered.

No one had been arrested at the time of publishing and police were investigating.
