Be aware of Stats SA’s Community Survey
Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) is currently conducting the Community Survey (CS 2016) until April 2016.

Stats SA collects information that informs policy and will be used for planning, decision-making, monitoring and assessment of policies by other government departments, business and the public.
The Community Survey is a large-scale survey, which will produce information at municipal level required for planning and decision-making at all levels of government.
If your household has been chosen to participate in this survey, the person responsible for the household will be required to complete an electronic questionnaire with the assistance of the fieldworker.
Stats SA appeals to you to assist the fieldworker visiting your household by providing accurate information.
You will be required to answer questions relating to persons and households:
* Demographics used in measuring population size, such as age and sex, migration, fertility and mortality.
* Access to and quality of basic household services, such as water and sanitation, housing and energy.
* Ownership of household goods.
* Household involvement in agricultural activities.
All information you provide is kept confidential and will not be passed on to any individual or organisation for any purpose.
Fieldworkers can easily be identified by their official identity cards.
Should you wish to verify credentials of any Stats SA representative working on CS 2016, or have any questions regarding the survey, contact the District Survey Coordinator (Motebang) on 011 741 0860.
