Cycling club raises the bar for cancer survivors
Sunward Slipstreamer, a cycling club in Sunward Park, recently hosted a shavathon fund raising event for cancer survivors.
The event was a great success as people came in large numbers to raise R36 500.
Sunward Slipstreamer organises the charity event each year.
“We are thankful to all our sponsors, our members their families and friends who helped make the shavathon such a tremendous success,” said Rob Tomlin of the club.
“We could not have done this without the generous help of our community.”
The club thanks Sunward Pharmacy, Pick n Pay, Spar, Snip it Hair Salon, Biltong Express, Growthpoint Properties and A Taste of Portugal Food Truck company and Armourteq for sponsoring the event.
