The victim was attacked during a housebreaking incident at around 6.10am, in a complex in Asquith Road, Ravenswood, on February 5.
According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, when the Boksburg North SAPS sector vehicle arrived on scene, the officers found the woman in a bad state.
She woman was transported to hospital for treatment.
A laptop and cellphone were stolen.
The case is under investigation.
