According to Constable Nkemeleng Mabula from the station, they received a complaint about a suspicious motor vehicle at Pelser Road, Somalia Park.
“On arrival the suspect tried to drive away but police officers managed to stop him. They searched the car and found the batteries.
“When asked about the batteries he failed to explain where he had got them,” Mabula said.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court soon.
