Two men injured as bakkie overturns on R21

Two men in their 30s were left injured this afternoon (November 12) after their bakkie and trailer overturned on the R21 highway near the Atlas off-ramp.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the bakkie and trailer lying on its side inbetween the two barriers dividing the highways.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said that on assessment, paramedics found that both men had escaped the collision with only minor injuries.

“The two men were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Arwyp Hospital for further assessment,” said Meiring.

Local authorities were on scene to close one lane of the highway, as well as for further investigations.
