Angelo’s community committee to aid the SAPS in fight against crime

In a bid to reclaim the streets from criminals, residents of Angelo informal settlement have set up a community committee to work with the police.

The area has been under siege by murderers, who have so far killed 15 people in less than a year.

Police met with residents on Sunday, November 1, to discuss the prevailing violence.

The elected committee members, as well as residents who took part in the elections, vowed that they would work tirelessly with the police to ensure that the killings come to an end.

Also in attendance were the Brakpan CPF Cluster chairperson Herman Heunis, ward councillor Hillary Coke and senior members of the Boksburg SAPS.
