Local residents smile broadly in the Tetley Tea competition

Two Boksburg residents recently walked away as two of the 10 national winners in the Tetley Tea competition.

Tea lovers, who purchased the specially marked promotional boxes, stood a chance of winning a share of the cash.

Boksburg’s lucky winner Philemon Majane, who is now R50 000 richer, juggles his catering business and shift work.

He regularly purchased Tetley and drove around to several stores seeking out the promotional pack in a bid to try his fortune in claiming one of the prizes.

“My wife was so excited to hear we had won. The money has come at a time when we are renovating our home and we will definitely remember Tetley for making our home beautiful,” he said.

The other winner, who also won R50 000, wished to remain anonymous. He is a father of two and works with the Department of Home Affairs.
