The competition consisted of forms, weapons and kickboxing, and these pupils participated in all three categories.
Mahmood Mahomed (11), a Grade Five pupil, won six titles (two gold, three silver and one bronze), while Ahmad Mahomed (8), a Grade Two pupil, scooped 10 titles (one gold, six silver and three bronze).
All in all, the South African team brought back 71 world titles and set a new record for the country.
Team South Africa was placed second in the world in medals at this year’s championships.
