According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, dog owners must be aware of this crime.
“Be vigilant and listen to your animals, when they get restless or start barking take note of it,” she said.
Residents are urged to inform the SAPS or the nearest SPCA of any poisonings which occur.
