Four houses robbed in one day
Although the recent long weekend was a fairly quiet one for the Boksburg police, when compared to previous weekends, criminals spoiled the celebration of success on Tuesday, August 11.
In one day and during broad daylight, thieves broke into four different houses within the Boksburg SAPS policing precinct and stole goods worth more than R30 000.
In all the incidents, the criminals forced open the gates to enter the yards.
Two of the burglaries were reported in Parkrand, one in Freeway Park and the fourth incident in Boksburg South.
The stolen goods included TV sets, jewellery, laptops and clothing.
According to a spokesperson for the Boksburg SAPS, Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, this type of crime is among the lists of criminal offences that remain an issue across Boksburg. -@FanieFLK
