No arrest yet in nightmarish kidnapping case
The Boksburg North SAPS is investigating a case of rape and abduction in the matter involving Impala Park resident Margaretha Johanna Compaan (29).
Compaan went missing in the early hours of July 19, and was found in a veld in Bredel at around 1pm, July 20, in a bad state.
She told authorities that the last thing she remembered was when going to the bathroom at Presley’s nightclub and was surprised to wake up in a strange room.
Her mother, Catherine Verwey, then told the Advertiser that “she was drugged and she had bruises, cuts, marks and a swollen face, which clearly indicates that she has been assaulted”.
Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Lieut Juanita Coetzer confirmed that a case of rape and abduction is being investigated.
In light of this incident, Presley’s owner Chris da Silva has come out in defence of his establishment, saying Presley’s has never been unsafe in the 23 years since it’s existence.
He also said he is cooperating with the police.
No one has been arrested yet.
