Man’s body found in Witfield Dam

Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Lieut Juanita Coetzer said police were called after community members noticed what looked like a body in the dam, near the corner of Sharon and Main streets, at around 1pm.

The body of the unknown man was retrieved from the water by the SAPS’s Search and Rescue team.

Coetzer said the body had no visible injuries.

Detectives will investigate the cause of death.
