Children make gruesome discovery at dump site
Children in Angelo informal settlement made a gruesome discovery while playing in one of the illegal dump sites in the area.
According to a police report, the children had a nasty shock when they noticed the baby while playing.
The suspicious little ones then notified the elders who upon investigation discovered that it was indeed a newborn.
The matter was reported to the police.
Paramedics were also dispatched to the dump site and they certified the baby dead at the scene.
The Boksburg police are now investigating a case of concealment of birth, and they are hoping to trace the child’s mother, who they believe lives in the informal settlement.
