R12 000 cash robbed near police station

A supermarket located less than half a kilometre away from the Boksburg police station, was robbed on Wednesday evening, July 8.

The three, all armed with firearms, stormed the supermarket on Commissioner Street, opposite the Boksburg Bowling Club, at about 9.25pm.

They then daringly threatened the staff with the firearms, while ordering them to lie down on the floor.

Quick as lightning, they opened the cash register and took R12 000 in cash, before fleeing the scene.

The robbers are still at large, but police are investigating a business robbery case. – @FanieFLK
