Boksburg Post Office enjoys a state of cleanliness
For the past seven weeks, the area around the Boksburg Post Office has been kept clean.
According to DA Ward 32 branch chairperson, Marius de Vos, the concerted effort to keep the premises clean follows the DA Parliamentary oversight visit on May 4.
“Bags have been placed in the post box collection area for junk mail, which has left the premises spotlessly clean,” said de Vos.
“Vagrants no longer relieve themselves around the building. The grass has also been cut and is being kept tidy.
“We have always maintained that the post office is an important service provider to the entire city.
“We will not turn a blind eye to the negligent conduct of government officials; the public has a right to receive services of high standard in a healthy environment.
“Our only concern at the moment is the slow pace of delivery of mail to residential addresses and, in some cases, no delivery of mail to areas like Parkdene, Parkrand, Cinderella, Boksburg South and Farrar Park.” – @NalediBoksburg
