According to Ekurhuleni Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe, officials visited the site.
“Electricity boxes supplying these lights were found to have been forcibly opened, while locks were removed and the control circuit tampered with (bypassed),” he said.
“The metro has, in the meantime, temporarily secured the box and the technicians are currently working on fixing it properly and maintaining it, and the power supply should be back to normal soon.” – @IschkeBoksburg
