One-eyed Jackie needs a loving home
One-eyed Jackie is looking for a loving family to adopt her from foster care.
This beautiful, two-year-old female Jack Russell was found injured in the Boksburg North area, about a month ago.
“She had a ruptured eye which had to be removed,” said Annalise Jungmann, of Tag (The Animal Guardians) Animal Welfare Organisation.
An unknown woman contacted the organisation when she found the animal.
It is believed that the Jack Russell – now baptised Jackie – was kicked in the face by people living in the area.
According to Jungmann, one of the organisation’s sponsors paid for the medical treatment of the animal and for the removal of the right eye.
During this whole process, Jackie was also sterilised.
It’s basically a month since the incident occurred and Jackie has fully recovered. She is currently in a foster home, but is longing for a permanent family.
Jungmann said she is good with children and other dogs.
Anyone interested in adopting Jackie may contact Jungmann on 076 330 5736.

Tag is urgently in need of three tons of dry dog food.
