According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the man was found bleeding on the pavement of Fourth Street, Boksburg North, in the late afternoon of April 11.
He had a wound to his head.
She said the suspect allegedly stopped a man in a vehicle, took the keys from the ignition and assaulted the driver by hitting him with a clenched fist.
“The motorist defended himself by hitting the suspect with a car rim,” said Coetzer.
A few days after he was treated, the suspect was released from hospital and detained by the Boksburg North SAPS.
He was charged with assault, while a counter case has been opened by the suspect for the assault on him. – @IschkeBoksburg
