Alberts’ murder suspects appear in court

Two suspects appeared in the Germiston Regional Court on April 8, facing charges of murder, kidnapping and robbery, in connection with the disappearance and death of Wayne Alberts.

Alberts, husband and father of three from Boksburg, was found dead in a veld in Kliprivier, on February 15, after having disappeared from Boksburg North on February 14.

One of the suspects is also connected to a former case, in which an ex-member of the Boksburg SAPS was found deceased in a woman’s flat, during May 2014.

According to Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Lieut Juanita Coetzer, one of the suspects in Wayne Albert’s murder case was staying in this flat.

“The diseased ex-policeman allegedly visited this specific female suspect regularly,” said Coetzer.

“In May 2014, he was found dead on her bed.”

He had no visible injuries.
