Dance duo Gravity to compete in Dance World Cup

Boksburg's very own dancers, Hennie Willemsen and Shanri Garranttley (together called Gravity), have been chosen to represent South Africa, at the Dance World Cup, in Romania, in July.

According to the owner and director of Rhythm 2 Sessions Dance Studio, Cheslyn Henry, the two qualified based on their performances at the Dance World Cup South Africa Qualifier, which was held in the City of Tshwane, at the State Theatre, where over 500 dance schools entered.

“Hennie and Sharni were placed first in their section, where they displayed a graceful, gravity defying adage, choreographed by myself and my wife Hayley,” said Cheslyn.

“There were three international judges and the competition ran over three days. It was tough on Hennie since he is still in matric, but he has shown tremendous dedication and passion.

If you would like to see them in action, call Cheslyn on 082 665 5022 or email Info@r2sessions.co.za to book for performances.- @NalediBoksburg
