No arrests yet in ‘racist attack’

It’s almost a month since Zoran Ramos and Natalie Spence were attacked in the East Rand Galleria.

A case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm was opened at the SAPS.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Juanita Coetzer, the investigating officer made enquiries at the scene of the crime.

“She has witnesses who might lead to future arrests,” said Coetzer.

Ramos and Spence had completed their shopping when the alleged racist attack occurred inside the mall on March 1.

An altercation between the victims and another shopper started in the queue at a pay point at a Galleria store.

The next moment they were attacked by a group of about 15 people.

According to Ramos, Spence is now, among others, suffering migraines and trauma.

Further investigation is still underway. – @IschkeBoksburg
