Post Office industrial action looms
Post Office employees will, on Monday, embark on a go slow, which may soon culminate in them going on a full blown strike.

Employees are demanding a 15 per cent salary hike and the conversion of casual workers to permanent staff.
The Communications Workers Union (CWU) confirmed that they will be holding meetings in all nine provinces from Thursday, February 5, until Saturday, February 7, to decide on a mandate for a strike.
The union will then communicate the outcome of their Imbizos with the South African Post Office (Sapo).
According to the CWU’s Clyde Mervin, they have already served notice of the planned go slow, adding that Sapo has already responded that a court interdict will be sought to prevent CWU members from embarking on industrial action.
The go slow and looming strike will be the latest industrial action to cause operation disruptions at the Post Office, where staff embarked on a three-month long strike last year, causing mail delivery delays.
Local Post Office depots were filled to capacity, with thousands of unsorted, undelivered items gathering dust.
