Metro to table ward delimination process

The Ekurhuleni Metro is calling on all stakeholders to participate in the process of ward delimitation, as required by the Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB).

This follows a meeting between the MDB and Electoral Commission, during which a resolution was adopted to change the delimitation of municipal wards.

With local government elections fast approaching in the year 2016, metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe said boundaries ought to be set for areas and wards in Boksburg, Germiston, Alberton and Edenvale.

The delimitation process will take the form of public participation meetings.

The next meeting will take place at 6pm on March 6, in the pink hall, situated on the same premises as the Boksburg Civic Centre.
