Shoppers pay for mall upgrade

Anonymous from Boksburg, writes:

I read the article on the East Rand Mall upgrades, but one needs to tell the rest of the story: that we, the shoppers will be paying for this improvement.

How? By now paying for parking at the mall. I remember when shops welcomed the shopper, but now it’s a case of grab all you can get out of them.

Question is: will the mall get the air-conditioning up and running? It hasn’t been put on in years.

I used to love visiting the mall, but now the shops are all the same as everywhere else – nothing different, nothing out of the ordinary – just the same old, as in thousands of other malls in SA.

And also, we, as the shoppers, will now have to breath in all the dust from the improvements being made at the mall.

No wonder we’re all sick, then we have to pay for an hour of shopping that’s bound to make us all sicker.

I’m not a happy shopper.
