H20 promoter granted bail
David Forbes (48), the promoter and owner of the popular annual H20 Party, has been granted bail of R20 000 in the Western Cape High Court yesterday, January 29.
This is after lawyers of Forbes lodged an urgent appeal after bail was denied in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The prominent businessman, who is also the co-owner of Nicci Beach, in Boksburg, was arrested on Saturday, January 24, on suspicion of murdering Toefieq Joseph , who was shot dead in the parking lot of the Engen garage, in Orange Street (Cape Town CBD).
Forbes is due to appear in the Magistrate Court on February 5.
