Man arrested for impersonating police

A man was arrested for impersonating the police and for the possession of illegal substances, on January 15.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, two Boksburg North officers were patrolling in Yaldwin Road, Jet Park, at around around 1pm, when they noticed a silver Corsa bakkie with a flashing blue light.

“They stopped to enquire about the person using the blue light on a private vehicle,” said Coetzer.

“It was discovered that he is not a member of the police and they accompanied the man to Boksburg North SAPS.

“Upon arrival, they searched the vehicle and found illegal substances, smoking pipes and a set of handcuffs.

“They also found a packet of crystal meth with another smoking pipe on his body.”
