A smile for Christmas

55 hearts were touched when the Caxton East division hand delivered Christmas gifts to some of the elderly in Cosmos Old Age Home, on Wednesday, December 17.

The initiative mainly focused on the residents of section 5: people with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Caxton East staff members had the opportunity to fill a bag with something edible the elderly could nibble on and enjoy during the festive season.

“It was amazing to see how happy we as the Caxton family had made people this Christmas – with a small gift we brought happiness to so many people,” says project organizer, Luke Hutchinson.

“The thanks we got – I cannot explain how great it was – it’s those golden eyes and widest smiles that make a smile show the gratefulness of a gift.”
