Body of elderly man found behind school, info needed
Boksburg police are appealing for information, after a 61-year-old man was found dead on the field behind Sunward Park High School.

Due to the ongoing taxi strike in Windmill Park, Abram Magatikele, left his Windmill Park home at about 5.30am that morning, and walked to his workplace in Sunward Park.
According to the police, while on his way to work, someone attacked him and stole his cellphone.
“There was prima facie evidence that the man was hit with an object on his head and strangled before he was robbed of his cellphone.
“However, we are still waiting for the post mortem results to establish the cause of his death,” says the investigating officer Sgt Calvin Mphaphuli.
The police also established that the someone used Magatikele’s cellphone to call the deceased’s family.
The person on the phone contacted the family and directed them to the body of Magatikele, before he left with the deceased’s cellphone.
They appealed with him to wait at the scene, but the caller told them that he was late for work and he does not want to be a witness.
He then disappeared with the phone.
The family went to the area and began searching for their loved one.
They found the unresponsive Magatikele lying on the field with serious injuries at about 6.30am on Tuesday morning, November 25.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene following the reports and Magatikele was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for anyone, who may have witnessed anything, to come forward.
“We are keen to speak to the person who had called the family, and we are asking the public to assist us in tracking down this particular person, or indeed the caller himself to come forward to explain his actions,” appeals Mphaphuli.
Any witnesses should contact Mphaphuli on 084 275 7069.
Abram Magatikele had worked at Sunward Park High for a long time, and was retiring at the end of this year.
