No suspects arrested in Spur robbery

No suspects were arrested, no shots were fired and no one was injured in the Alaska Spur robbery that took place on Wednesday evening, November 19.

This is according to to Lt Juanita Coetzer, spokesperson for Boksburg North SAPS.

The Advertiser previously reported that the suspects were arrested in Kempton Park, which is incorrect.

The Alaska Spur in Atlas Mall was robbed at just after 10.15pm. There were no customers in the Spur at the time of the incident.

“The complainant and a colleague were busy in the office at the Spur at the time of the robbery.

“When they came out of the office, they saw two armed suspects accosting the security guard before forcefully entering the shop,” says Coetzer.

“The suspects proceeded to empty the safe and the cash register, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
