Join the fight against crime in your community

Caxton East Rand and South branch's newspapers have recently launched a platform that allows the local public to fight back against crime in their communities by reporting and being alert on current criminal activity in the Ekurhuleni region.

If you or someone you know has been witness to, or the victim of a crime, send us the details and we will alert the community in your area, allowing them to be on the look out.

Details could include anything from suspicious vehicles, license plate numbers (must be verified), physical descriptions, dangerous intersections to be aware of (hijackings or smash-and-grabs), dog poisonings, theft or simply identifying law-breakers in our society.

Send details of criminal activity to ercrime@caxton.co.za, or tweet us @ercrime and we will share the information on our social media platforms and websites.

Follow our twitter account @ercrime to keep up to date on current criminal activity, as well as links to updates on crime stories in the Ekurhuleni region.

* Please note, this is a community awareness campaign and the usual procedure of contacting the police or emergency services must be adhered to. Crime is a serious concern and hoax tip-offs will not be tolerated.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
