Videos and photos: Matric history paper ‘long but fine’ – Sunward students
Following a tough start to this week’s exams where matrics wrote mathematics and economics on Monday and Tuesday, November 3 and 4, respectively, numerous students from Sunward Park High School felt that the history paper was a much-needed chance for redemption.

The history paper was written on Wednesday.
When asked by the Advertiser how they found the exam, the students had the following to say:
* Dieter Zimmermann said: “It was actually a very nice paper; it was easy, but just long.”

* Zoleka Mbela said: “It was fine; if you studied, it was fine. It wasn’t hard.”

* Simphiwe Hlatshwayo said: “I thought it was great, because I knew most of the things, so I think it was an 80 per cent performance.”

* Kalase Dimpane said: “The paper was good, it was manageable; I think I got in the 70s or 80s.”

* Wakhiwe Dube said: “It was nice. It was basically the same thing we wrote during prelims, so I was well-prepared.”

* Frank Nhlapo said: “The paper was a good paper, and I think I did well. I’d say my mark is in the 70s. I studied yesterday and most of the things I studied were in previous tests.”

* Dexter James said: “It was alright, in a good way. It was better than what I expected; I expected it to be heavy and the pressure was on. – @SabeloBoksburg

* Shaquille Fransman said: “It was okay, it flowed; I think I did okay.”
