DA welcomes progress in Taegrin Morris case

The DA in Gauteng has welcomed the progress made in the Taegrin Morris case following the arrest of a suspect linked to the hijacking and subsequent murder of the little boy from Reiger Park.

“We hope that this suspect will face the full might of the law, a swift conviction, and that his arrest will bring some form of closure to Taegrin’s family,” says John Moodey MPL, DA Gauteng Caucus and Provincial Leader.

“Gauteng continues to witness alarming crime rates with soccer star, Senzo Meyiwa, becoming the latest victim of gun violence just this week.

“The DA will continue to advocate for improved crime intelligence which has proven key in disrupting and preventing organised crime.

“We hope that Taegrin Morris and every victim of crime in South Africa will receive the justice they deserve.”

* The suspect is due to appear today in the Boksburg Magistrate Court.
