Work on pipeline project moving slowly

Sunward Park residents have questioned the ‘slow’ process of completing the Rand Water pipeline project in Boksburg.

New contractors were in February this year appointed to finish the project, which gave residents plenty of headaches, after the first contractors left it half-finished.

Open trenches were left on the sides of the roads and open veld.

When the newly-appointed contractors started work on the project, Rand Water spokesperson, Justice Mohale, said the project is set to be completed in February 2015.

There has been some progress regarding the project in some areas of Boksburg, but according to residents, in Sunward Park the progress is much slower than expected.
