Stolen steel found in Impala Park

Members of the Boksburg North SAPS found suspected stolen steel plates and nuts and bolts in De Havilland Street, Impala Park, on August 27.

According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, WO Rudie Bezuidenhout and WO Anton du Plessis were called out to Impala Park, where they found the abandoned steel.

“They confiscated the152 steel plates, with a weight of 304kg, and handed them in to the Boksburg North SAPS,” she says.

Coetzer adds that the nuts and bolts weigh 100kg and the value of the galvanised steel is about R70 000. – @CarmenBoksburg
