Therefore, the police are reaching out to the community to assist them with information in identifying or bringing forth evidence that may lead to identification, new evidence or arrests.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a possible hit-and-run accident that killed Mngenela Thethelela to come forward. It happened at about 3.40pm on November 3, on Elsburg Road, between Ramaphosa and Reiger Park.

Boksburg SAPS
* Boksburg police are appealing for witnesses to a horrific car accident which killed a 44-year-old man (Royal Abraham Roderick), on the N17 on August 5, 2012.
* Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a taxi driver failed to stop following a collision with a cyclist on Van Dyk Road, at about 5.15pm on May 27, last year.
* Police also need public assistance in a possible hit-and-run accident that killed a cyclist at the corner of Campbell and Cason roads at about 6pm, on April 15, last year.
n Witnesses to a possible hit-and-run accident that killed Mandla Khumalo along Main Reef Road, in Angelo informal settlement, on December 14, last year are asked to come forward. Police are also appealing to the public to assist in locating the family of the victim.
n A hit-and-run accident that killed a man on the N17 between Heidelburg Bridge and Rondebult offramp, on June 10, took place this year. Investigators are also appealing to the public to assist them in identifying the man, and witnesses to come forward.
n Public assistance is needed to identify the body of an elderly man only known as Tsebe, and he is apparently from Holomisa. Tsebe’s body was found in the open veld between Sunward Park and Windmill Park.
Detectives investigating the discovery of the man’s body have also made an appeal to his family to come forward.
n Police have also launched an appeal for help to identify the body of a woman who died at the Tambo Memorial Hospital eight months ago. Her name could be Elizabeth Geldenhuis or Johanna Swanepoel.
n W/O Rudi Venter has launched appeals for public assistance to identify a man whose body was found on Rondebult Road next to Comet village. He was apparently knocked down by a silver Mini Cooper. Venter also appeals to the public to assist in identifying the victim.
