St. Dominic’s gives to church for Mandela Day

Grade 0 pupils from St Dominic's Catholics School for Girls marked the first Mandela Day since the icon's death by giving food parcels to St John's Presbyterian Church in Leeuwpoort Road, Boksburg CBD, on Friday, July 18.

The 98-year-old church runs a feeding scheme to the underprivileged on a weekly basis.

“The church goes around and gives people on the street food; we feed about 45 people every Thursday,” says the church’s Rev Lihai Bercovich. -@SabeloBoksburg
