Round Table brings warmth to the needy

To save needy people of Boksburg from the biting cold winter, Round Table Boksburg 17 donated blankets to scores of underprivileged residents.

Members of the community organisation recently visited those living in camping tents, near the Boksburg North Hotel, to hand out blankets and tinned food.

One of the residents told the Advertiser that the cold recently forced him to wake up in the middle of the night, and he went to a nearby centre to ask for boiled water to keep warm from the biting cold.

Members of Round Table also visited the informal settlement next to the once Cinderella Prison in Trichardts Road, where they also performed acts of kindness.

Blankets and tinned food were handed out to the poor residents of the settlement.
