According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, two armed men demanded money from the salon owner.
“Unbeknownst to the owner’s son, when he got to the salon the robbers were still inside the premises. One of the robbers, shot at the son while he was still inside the vehicle.
“The bullet hit him in the chest,” explains Ngobese.
The son was rushed to Sunward Park Hospital in critical condition.
The robbers got away with the father’s cellphone and R1 000 in cash.
