According to ER24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak, paramedics from ER24 that arrived on the scene found the two women with multiple fatal injuries lying on the highway.
“It is understood that an 18-wheeler truck collided with the two women when they apparently tried to cross the highway,” says Vermaak.
He adds that there was nothing that paramedics could do for the women and they were both declared dead on the scene before the incident was handed over to the EMPD. – @CarmenBoksburg
